Healthi Kids recruits for fifth year of PlayROCs Your Neighborhood
Last year, 60 neighborhood partners joined us for PlayROCs Your Neighborhood (https://www.healthikids.org/events/playrocs-your-neighborhood) . Is your church, library, block club, neighborhood association or parent group ready to host a free play day this year? We are excited to announce the date for this year's PlayROCs Your Neighborhood is Saturday, July 11 and Healthi Kids has started recruiting. Register here. NYS awarded funding for early childhood efforts
The New York State Council on Children and Families was awarded the Preschool Development Birth Through Five Renewal grant to support early childhood efforts. The $40.2 million federal grant will help to advance infant and early childhood mental health services by engaging parents and training teachers to address children's needs effectively while expanding access to high-quality care.
Common Ground Health will host the NYS-AIMH annual meeting
On March 13, 2020, the New York State Association for Infant Mental Health (NYS-AIMH) is holding its annual meeting at Common Ground Health from 8:30 am to noon. The meeting invites potential members to hear the incredible efforts that are underway at NYS-AIMH. There will also be a panel featuring Healthi Kids' Erick Stephens and Stephanie David who will be discussing Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health in Rochester. Register here.

Foodlink
For more than 40 years, Foodlink has worked to fight against hunger. Through their community health programs, nutrition education, the community kitchen, food bank and career empowerment, Foodlink helps to build healthier communities. Foodlink now serves a 10-county area in the Genesee Valley and Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York. Today, Foodlink's network of agencies serves 16 million meals annually to an estimated 200,000 people.
