For the last four years, children, families and neighborhood organizers have rallied together throughout the City of Rochester to raise awareness for safe and accessible play spaces for every child, in every neighborhood. Our citywide coordinated play day PlayROCs Your Neighborhood has brought together over 55 neighborhood partners: local churches, libraries, block clubs, neighborhood groups who have all worked together to repurpose, reclaim and bring back play to their public spaces.

The 2019 PlayROCs Your Neighborhood on July 13 was our biggest yet! Thank you to all who partnered with neighborhoods to advocate for change.

Due to the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to cancel PlayROCS Your Neighborhood 2020. Promoting the power of play will continue to be a priority for Healthi Kids so a virtual play date is in the works. We encourage parents and caregivers to try your best to make time for play while the kids are home so we are also planning a #playrocsathome social media challenge. Stay tuned for updates by following Healthi Kids on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
