As part of the Healthi Kids team, Jenn Beideman provides expertise on advocacy opportunities to advance whole child health in our region.

Jenn joined the Healthi Kids team in 2014. She brings to the position more than a decade of experience in policy research and government relations from a variety of non-profit, academic, and government settings. Jenn has worked on a variety of issues affecting children’s health including HIV/AIDS, infectious disease, healthy weight and physical activity initiatives.

Prior to joining the organization, Jenn worked at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in Toronto, Canada where she provided procedural research and policy support to several Standing Committees of the House.

Active in the community, Jenn is a member of the Physical Activity Policy Research Network (PAPRN+), the Obesity Prevention Center of Excellence Advisory Committee, the Early Childhood Development Initiative Advocacy Committee, the Rochester City School District Wellness Task Force, the Project CLEAN Steering Committee, the Children Developmentally on Track Strategy Team of ROC the Future and co-chairs the Greater Rochester After School Alliance Advocacy Committee. She is currently the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Child Care Council and a member of the PlayMakers, the Strong Museum of Play’s Young Professional Board.

A Toronto, Canada native, Beideman has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Toronto and a master’s in public administration from SUNY Brockport. In her spare time, Jenn enjoys practicing yoga, movies baking and exploring the City of Rochester where she resides with her husband.
