Joe Di Fiore partners with families and youth to help achieve policy and practice changes that support children’s health. His work includes providing advocacy training for parents and community leaders and making complex information understandable for diverse audiences. He joined Common Ground Health in 2019.
Previously, Joe recruited and coordinated neighborhood volunteers as a Complete Streets, PlayROCs and Play Streets community champion. As the founder of Little Flower Homes in Rochester, N.Y., he helps provide housing to community-oriented and civically engaged people and coordinates neighborhood volunteer projects.
Active in the Rochester community, Joe volunteers for the Beechwood Neighborhood Coalition and R-Community Bikes. He also is vice president of the School 33 PTA and serves on the Peace Village and City Roots Community Land Trust boards of directors.
Joe Di Fiore holds a bachelor’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from State University of New York at Oswego. His hobbies include judo, Brazilian jiu jitsu, skiing and bike riding.
