Healthy Kids are Active Kids
Physical activity plays a crucial role in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The Centers for Disease Control recommends that children are physically active for at least 60 minutes a day. Unfortunately, only half of America's young people are reaching that 60 minute mark.
Healthi Kids works with parents, students, teachers, and community members to advocate for fun ways to incorporate physical activity into each day - through recess for all elementary students, increasing safe play spaces in neighborhoods, and creating safe routes to schools, recreation centers, and any other places where children live and play.To learn more about our work visit our Be Active Resource Page.
